Wedding Photo Montage

VPS offers the wedding couple what we call a Wedding Photo Montage. This is where you select photos or slides of the bride and groom, family or other friends and we transfer them to either VHS video or DVD for playing before, during or after your wedding. Many people are now using this as a means to show pictures of the bride and groom from baby pictures up through the their wedding announcement. It's a wonderful way to share your lifes with others. Call VPS for complete details and cost.

Large Screen Projection Screen

If you'd like, you may rent a large screen projection system from VPS to show your Wedding Photo Montage at your reception, your rehearsal dinner or at any other gathering before, during or after your wedding. Call VPS for complete details and cost.

Additional Information
Where will the camera operators be located during the wedding?

Typically, if we use two cameras, one will be located in the balcony or the back of the church and the other will be located in the front of the church. If we are using only one camera, it generally would be located in the balcony or rear of the church. If three cameras are used, two would typically be located in the front of the church.
I want to be sure to hear our vows on the video. Will this be possible?
Absolutely. Video Production Services uses several methods to make sure your vows can be heard. In most cases and whenever possible, we connect to the main sound system of the church to pick-up all that's being said. But more importantly, we use a wireless microphone on the groom so that we get the best possible recording of the wedding vows.
If my ceremony or reception location is dimly lit, how will my video look?

Lighting will determine the quality of your video. Most churches have sufficient lighting to produce acceptable video. For best results the lighting should be balanced and uniform. While VPS uses only professional, low light digital cameras, it is wise to make maximum use of the interior lighting to ensure the best quality recording. Although ceremony lighting is often selected to create the appropriate atmosphere or mood, you will want to consider how a low light ceremony will affect your video and then decide on the best light level for your personal needs and priorities.
At your reception, however, VPS typically uses a low-wattage, on-camera light. This allows us to provide adequate lighting, yet remains unobtrusive.

We've already reserved a photographer. Why should we have our wedding videotaped as well?
Photographs are still an important part of capturing special events in our lives, but they don't tell the whole story. They can not actively capture the laughter, the spontaneity, the warmth, the love and emotions of your special day. Video Production Services of Iowa records the action of the moment without the posing of photographs which enables you to relive the memories much more vividly. It's also terrific having a video to share with family and friends who aren't able to be with you to celebrate your special day.
What about the restrictive policies some churches have?
Video Production Services of Iowa respects and abide by the existing rules of a church or ceremony venue. While we can readily provide you with professional expertise to explain your video concerns to the church coordinator, it is the client's responsibility to request any changes to these policies. Throughout the years, VPS has developed a good working relationship with area churches. Our philosophy is that a wedding ceremony in a church is a religious event first and foremost and we do not do anything that would distract from that function. At the same time, we will do everything within the policies and rules of the church to provide you with the best video possible.
What kind of coverage does the 'typical' wedding video include?
Our wedding video usually begins with introductory titles. The more elaborate video packages contain pre-ceremony coverage to include the guest book and last minute preparations before you actually go down the aisle. The entire ceremony is recorded from the processional to recessional and everything in between. Post ceremony footage may show your receiving line and/or departing from the church.
Should you select ceremony/reception coverage, VPS will continue to your reception location and tape the customary activities including your introduction, first dance, toasts, cake cutting, father/daughter dance, bouquet and garter toss and personal messages from guests.
