The History of Farming as Preserved and Demonstrated at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.
This videotape, produced in 2001, shows how the Old Threshers reunion has preserved and demonstrates farming as it has evolved throughout the years. See antique tractors, steam traction engines, horses and gas engines do much of what they did in on the American farm throughout history. In addition, an explanation and meaning of the static displays at the Old Threshers Reunion are presented by reunion director, Lennis Moore. (2001 -119 minutes)





A Video Scapbook of the Midwest Old Settlers & Threshers Reunion.
Throughout the years, VPS has filmed numerous "Video Scrapbooks" of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.  Included on the films are a glimpse of the many, many events and activities which comprise the Reunion each year as well as special events which took place during the particular year of the Scrapbook. Steam traction engines, antique cars and trucks, the Cavalcade of Power, gas engines, crafts, the Midwest Central Railway, the Log Village, Snipe Run, the Midwest Electric Trolley, horses, musical entertainment and the Harvest parade are but a few of the many activities which are shown throughout the program
The "Video Scrapbooks" were filmed during the following years: 1986, 1989, 19921998, 2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009.  (Note: Years in BOLD are still available in either DVD or VHS.













The Cavalcade of Power of the 2005 Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.

This tape is the complete Cavalcade of Power show at the 2005 Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion. The tape includes horses, antique cars and trucks, antique tractors and stream traction engines. (Approximate time: 2.5 hours).











Stories, Folklore, Facts, Yarns, Anecdotes, Myths and Other Tall Tales of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.

This tape presents some of the tales, myths, anecdotes and humorous stories about the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion as told by those who attend the Reunion. What is the real attendance of the Old Threshers Reunion? What kind of pranks are played by those operating equipment at the Reunion? Is it really true that alcohol is not allowed at the Reunion? Many interesting and sometimes questionable facts are presented (Approximately 70 minutes - 1996).



A 45th Commemorative Edition of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion.
This tape, filmed in 1995, celebrates the 45th annual Old Threshers Reunion. The tape shows the many activities that made up the 1995 Reunion including steam traction engines, antique cars and trucks, the Log Village, Snipe Run, antique tractors, crafts, entertainment, horses, the Midwest Electric Railway, the steam powered Carousel, and the Midwest Central Railway. In addition, the tape shows some early historical footage of early Reunions. (70 minutes - 1995).



Horse Power at the Old Threshers Reunion.
Horses have provided the power for many farm operations throughout the years. This tape shows the many beautiful horses as they do many of the tasks which have been required of them throughout the years including threshing, baling, powering the sorghum mill, plowing and many other activities. The Stationary Engine Powerhouse of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion.
The Stationary Steam exhibits at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion are quickly becoming one of the major attractions and one that has dramatically expanded in size over the past few years. This program gives a view of the exhibits including an explanation of the many types and uses these engines played in the development of power sources throughout the United States. The Antique Cars of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion.
This videotape presents a view of the many antique cars which are on display at the Reunion. Enjoy the beauty of the cars as they parade in the Cavalcade of Power and are displayed in the antique car and truck buildings. An added feature of this tape is a Model-T being assembled from scratch in less than 18 minutes. (58 minutes - 1991).

The Steam Traction Engines of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion, Pt. 1.
Over 100 steam traction engines are on display and in operation at the Reunion. This program shows the many types and uses of the steam engines as told by those who run and operate the steam engines. (58 minutes - 1987).



The Steam Traction Engines, Pt. 2, of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion.
This tape provides a brief history and description of the many types of steam traction engines which are operating and on display. Engines are shown performing many tasks for which they were used such as running saw mills, threshing, baling, running a veneer mill and much more. (70 minutes - 1993).



The Gas Engines of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.
Over 800 gas engines are in operation and on display at the Reunion. This tape shows many of the gas engines and their uses including rock crushing, baling, grinding grain, running various appliances, and running a line shaft. (55 minutes - 1988).





The Antique Tractors of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion, Vol. 1.
The many types and makes of the over 300 antique tractors which are on display at the Reunion are presented in this program. In addition, the tractors are shown threshing, baling, running saw mills and various other activities such as competing in the popular antique tractor pull. (55 minutes - 1988).



The Antique Tractors of the Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Reunion, Vol. 2.
Take a stroll down the aisles of the fastest-growing exhibit at the Reunion, the antique tractor area. Learn interesting facts about these unique tractors as well as watch your favorite tractor at the sawmill, plowing, bailing, threshing, running the veneer mill or baker fan, and participating in the antique tractor pull. (65 minutes - 1997).



Prof. B. T. Farquar: "The Last American Minstrel"
One of the finest individual performers at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion is Prof. B. T. Farquar and his interpretation of an old-time medicine man show. Songs, stories, magic and the pitching of a magic elexor guaranteed to cure everything from "stinky feet to nagging wifes" is all a part of his performance that is captured on this videotape. Filmed during the 1999 Reunion, this tape not only shows several of his performances at the Reunion, but also includes demonstrations on how to do magic tricks as well. (Approximate time: 70 minutes - 1999).


Professor Farquar's Old Time Medicine Show
More music, magical acts and great stories from the Midwest Old Threshers renowned medicine man.  Assisted by Polecat Annie with her juggling expertise, Professor Farquar has entertained thousands throughout the midwest and is a regular attraction at the Old Threshers Reunion.  Certainly one of the most entertaining shows on the Old Threshers grounds.  (Running time: 75 minutes)



The Best of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion
Video Production Services of Iowa has been producing videotapes of the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion since 1986. This tape is a collection of some of the best sights, sounds and events that have occurred from the 1986 to 2000 Old Threshers reunions.



Narrow Guage on the Heartland
This program details that many trains and operations of the Midwest Central Railroad at the Old Threshers Reunion.  A history of the railroad at Old Threshers is shown as well as an examination of how the steam locamotives operate and the differences between the different locamotives.  An exciting program for those interested in early steam powered trains.  (Approximate running time: 60 minutes).
