Film to Videotape or DVD
VPS offers transfers of 8mm or 16mm film to videotape, CD or DVD. All is needed is for you to select your films, put them in the order that you want them transfered, and send them to Video Production Services.

Once you have mailed the film to us, we will put your film on either videotape, DVD or CD and return them to you by insured delivery.

When you send us your order, we will e-mail or telephone you to confirm the arrival of your materials.

The cost of the transfers is .10 per foot. Most small 8mm reels are roughly 50 feet while the larger 7" reels may contain as much as 400 feet. When ordering a film transfer, please estimate the amount of footage you are sending. Before we transfer your film, we will let you know the exact amount of the transfer.

You may purchase additional copies of your videotape, CD or DVD as well.

The cost of 8mm or 16mm film transfer to videotape or DVD is .10 per foot up to 1000 feet. On orders of more than 1000 feet, the cost is .08 per foot. Please enter the approximate number of feet you are submitting under quanity. We will calculate the actual number of feet and contact you either by e-mal or telephone to give you the exact number of feet before your film is transferred.

If you decide to have your film footage put on DVD, there is an additional $29.95 charge. You may purchase this option below. The DVD is put in a deluxe plastic case with wrap-a-round case label.

You may elect to have your film footage transferred to DVD rather than videotape. The cost of the DVD transfer is an additional $19.95 cost. The DVD is put in a deluxe plastic case with wrap-a-round case label.

You may purchase additional copies of your film transfer on DVD or videotape. The cost of additional DVD's is $19.95 while additional copies of videotapes is $10.50. For pricing on multiple copies (5 or more), please call VPS at (319) 385-2041.

The DVD is put in a deluxe plastic case with wrap-a-round case label and the videotapes come with labels and cardboard sleeve covers.
